Design- Generator C&I Specialist
Duties and Responsibilities:<br><br>1 Design of generator control and instrumentation systems including protection systems, generator excitation systems and generator terminal cubicles.<br><br>2 Provision of technical support to customers and to Brush sales, manufacturing, testing, commissioning functions.<br><br>3 Applications engineering for control systems projects such as power management systems for load shedding etc.<br><br>4 Preparation and review of technical specifications including review of customers’ specifications..<br><br>5 Participate in cross-functional activities such as customer meetings, product and project review.<br><br>6 Play a cross-functional role in discussing and agreeing both Corrective and Preventive actions for QA problems.<br><br>7 Support sales and service personnel by occasionally working on sites in the UK, offshore and overseas when required.<br><br>8 Be flexible in working times as dictated by work load and non-planned events.<br><br>9 Other duties that would be seen as part of the function of a Controls Engineer – Generator C&I Specialist.<br><br>Experience Required:<br>• Sound knowledge of BRUSH products, and systems.<br>• Knowledge of power electronics applications issues.<br>• Knowledge of electrical power generation control, instrumentation and protection equipment including design aspects of 15kV cubicles.<br>• Awareness of commercial issues and market led product development. <br><br>Communication<br>• Good written and oral skills.<br>• Office computing skills such as Word Processing and Spreadsheet manipulation<br><br>Qualifications<br>• Degree/HND in Electrical, Electronic or Control Engineering.<br
