This is an excellent opportunity for one experienced Engineer and one graduate (with some working experience) to join a leading company in order to design Precision Machine Tool assemblies and systems. This will include production of detailed drawings, BOM’s and assembly drawings.



JOB TITLE: Mechanical Design Engineer (2 positions)

BASIC SALARY: Experienced engineer - £25-28K

Graduate engineer - £22-25K

LOCATION: Leicestershire, West Midlands



The role is commutable from: Leicester, Coventry, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Birmingham, Loughborough, Solihull, Stratford-upon-Avon



THE ROLE



The main responsibilities will include,

• Design high precision machine tools assemblies and systems

• Prepare 3D (Autocad Inventor) full systems designs

• Be responsible for the drawing change process within the project team



Knowledge, Skills and Experience:



The ideal candidate will possess the following,

• Be educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline

• Previous experience in the design of EDM, ECM, and Laser machining systems

• Previous experience using a 3D modelling package (preferably Autocad Inventor)

• CAM capability

• The ability to work within a multi-disciplinary project team which takes a project from cradle to grave
